MISSIONS & OUTREACH
Loving our neighbor is a foundational practice for the church.
Missions is a cornerstone of our identity. Our Missions Committee stewards financial resources that support people locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. They also encourage the congregation to participate in service opportunities as they are presented. We are home to the oldest continually-operating Womens Missionary Society in the country. Our Community Cupboard services hundreds of families from the area twice a month.
Habitat for Humanity is a core focus for our outreach in 2018-2019. The House That Faith Built is a regional, ecumenical project, building a house in Northampton for a family. This is a pioneering Habitat project because the house is a zero-energy, manufactured home sourced from Vermont.
We also support Cathedral in the Night, an outdoor ministry in Northampton, Church World Service CROP Hunger Walk and other CWS projects, and other outreach as it is presented.
HOURS OF OPERATION: 10am to 12pm on every second and fourth Saturday of the month
Anyone expressing need is eligible to receive support from our pantry. There is no proof of need required.
