In worship you will experience an intentionally eclectic combination of traditional and contemporary elements. Our services include prayer and praise, hymns, songs, and choir offerings, scripture reading and sermon-time, as well as opportunities to give and receive support from the gathered body of Christ. Several Sundays a month, we also offer a Children’s story during worship. Children and youth remain upstairs for the first 15 minutes of worship and then are invited downstairs for church school classes.
BECOME A PART OF OUR FAMILY
Our church is congregationally run. From the bylaws (Article III, Section 5): “The government of the Church is vested in its membership.” That means that you have the decision-making power, in a democratic system, to help your church operate as you wish. “Every member shall have equal right to express an opinion concerning the policies, functions and operation of the Church.” (Bylaws, Article IV, Section 14). It also makes you responsible for the wellbeing of the organization. “Members are expected…to regularly attend the Church services, to give systematically towards it support and benevolences, to serve in its work, and labor diligently for the spiritual welfare of the Church…” (Bylaws, Article IV, Section 13). This is a covenantal relationship – a heart promise. Being a member offers the benefits of public declaration of your commitment and a vote in church decisions. Making such a declaration is empowering for you and the church!
