Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the following tasks during the course of the year: (1). Collect weekly offerings, in the event that you cannot be present on any given week arrange for a substitute to pick up the offering and hold it for you.
(2). Record individual pledges, gifts and other income by week received
(3). Prepare deposits to various accounts including but not limited to Church, Missions, Deacon and Memorial Funds
(4). Notify the respective Treasurers of these funds regarding new deposits and breakdown of any sub-amounts.
Church and Memorial Fund, notify Church Treasurer Missions Fund, notify Missions Treasurer Deacon Fund, notify Pastor and/or Diaconate Char
(5). Prepare intermediate Individual Pledge Records as directed by Stewardship or Finance Committees. These are the same as the Annual Giving Records but can be sent out quarterly as a reminder to individuals regarding their pledge.
(6). Prepare Annual Individual Giving Records and mail year-end statements to each giver for tax-purposes.
(7). Participate in monthly meetings

(8). Keep record of Memorial Fund gifts (Name, address of donor, amount of gift, for whom given) and notify Diaconate. Diaconate will send the appropriate notifications to the giver (for tax purposes) and notify the respective families about the gifts (less amounts).
(9). Maintain a record of pledges and contributions and report totals to Stewardship and Finance Committees during monthly meetings
(10). Order, assign and distribute pledge envelopes
(11). Prepare and/or maintain Collector mailing list to facilitate annual or quarterly mailings.
(12). Maintain the confidentiality of all information except as noted above
